Potato facing global challenges

Indeed, various constraints are exerted worldwide (climate change, population growth, environmental and societal concerns ....) to which potato needs to adapt!

The conference aims to develop an inventory of sustainable solutions already available but also to present the latest advances in research for new solutions.

This will be obtained through a complete and a well-designed programme organised with plenary sessions of keynote lectures, parallel thematic sessions of oral presentations or poster comments completed with mini-workshops.

All the current themes interesting the potato production in which the EAPR sections are involved (i.e agronomy and physiology, breeding and varietal assessment, post-harvest, pathology and pests, virology) are open for submissions. However, the wish of the scientific committee is also to organize them according to the major and strategic orientations listed below:

  • Climate change and impact on crop:
  • To produce and breed differently
  • Sustainable Resource Management
  • Population growth and food security
  • Market segmentation and added value

Didier ANDRIVON et Jean-Eric CHAUVIN, Inra Rennes Bretagne-Normandie are members of the Organizing Committee

During EAPR2017, a group of scientists and professionals will visit the Inra Research Center of Versailles-Grignon to discover our research activities and technical facilities.
