The 1st French-German Maize Breeders School is organized by Alain Charcosset, Joint Research Unit for Quantitative Genetics and Evolution - le Moulon (INRA, Univ. Paris Sud, CNRS, AgroParisTech) and Albrecht E. Melchinger, Univ. Hohenheim (DE).

This school is organized in three sessions 

  • Management and broadening of genetic diversity in breeding programs
  • Tools and approaches for broadening the genetic diversity with genetic resources
  • Exploiting the genetic diversity in mapping populations and genomic prediction

and an additionnal session on miscellaneous topics.

Hosts: Association des sélectionneurs français (ASF), Deutsches Maiskomitee (DMK),  Gesellschaft für Planzenzüchtung (GPZ), INRA and the University of Hohenheim (Germany).
