Summer School: From gene expression to genomic network

Organization: Laboratory of Excellence Saclay Plant Sciences

Updated on 06/17/2016
Published on 11/30/2015

The summer school aims to foster exchanges between a small group of young researchers and top scientists. These exchanges will cover cutting-edge research and key issues in bioinformatics and statistical methods for genome-wide expression analysis.

The summer school is dedicated mainly to plant biologists and statisticians who want to increase their expertise in this field.

  • Bioinformatics analysis of raw RNA-seq data (assembly, mapping, counting)
  • Statistical analysis of RNA-seq from normalisation to differential analysis
  • Coexpression analysis by mixture models
  • Network inference by graphical models
  • Omics integration using mixOmics
  • Biological interpretation of the previous statistical outputs.

With the participation of

  • Marie-Laure Martin-Magniette, Etienne Delannoy, Veronique Brunaud, Institut des sciences des plantes Paris-Saclay (CNRS, INRA, Univ. Evry Val d’Essonne, Univ. Paris Diderot, Univ. Paris Sud)
  • Françoise Budar, Institut Jean-Pierre Bourgin (INRA, AgroParisTech)
  • Andréa Rau, UMR Génétique animale et biologie intégrative (INRA, AgroParisTech)
  • Nathalie Villa-Vialaneix, UR Mathématiques et informatique appliquées (INRA)
  • Richard Berthomé, Laboratoire des interactions plantes-microorganismes (INRA, CNRS).
